Reliable, friendly, and comfy! I love Fid's! Used to go here a lot while I was at grad school at Rollins. I love the quaint pub atmosphere and the food is super good, too! Spinach Dip... YUM! Burgers are YUM! Chicken Fingers or Fish and Chips YUM! OMG the Potato and Leek Soup!! and Blue Moon on tap! Cider... Darts... Live music on the weekends! I always run into people I know at Fid's! Always! The staff is super friendly, and the people in the bar are usually really friendly, as well. This is a great place for happy hour, or for a couple drinks after dinner. Fid's never disappoints!

I have been to this place several times and it has rarely been great experience. I will have to say that you get what you expect, it is a pub down the street from a college. The decor is great, and the staff is nice, however it tends to get too busy and it is hard to get to the bar because of people standing everywhere and in the way. Our last visit this weekend we met some friends there for food and drinks, we did think a head and reserved a table (This was a great idea they saved us a big table in the main room near the live music). The service was good but t the food was not the best. At the end of the meal I ordered the Bread pudding, this turned out to be a big mistake. It looked great on the plate but apparently this was frozen at some time because you could taste the freezer burn, then the temp was not consistent throughout (hot one bite, cold the next). I am giving only 2 stars because there needs to be something done so people can walk through the bar area and order a beer without running the gauntlet of inconsiderate people and able to get up to the bar easily. Then the food should have a little more quality control (note they are good with the fried fish & chips).

Don't know much about this place as a restaurant as I've never had any of there food. I've been here a few times mostly to meet up for some drinks. And while I like the atmosphere and the whole irish pub thing, I just can't get into this place. Its ok from time to time, but drinks can be pricey and it can get very very crowded. Being within walking distance to rollins college is probably a great thing for those students. But for someone getting a drink there every how and then it can really turn you off of wanting to go there. If you do go, the key is get there before the rush. Parking is atrocious with the small lot next to it. Once that is full, good luck. If you can beat all these things, get there at a decent time, good parking, and actually get a table, then it usually is a good night. Otherwise, for me, I'll find another bar

Ah Fiddlers Green...for all intents and purposes, it's there for you. It can stay in your heart for years to come if you give it a chance. The atmosphere is quintessentially pub-like--dark and wooden. The food is outstanding. From their Bangers and Mash to their Corned Beef and Cabbage, they fill you up with delicious tasting Irish food. The sausage in the Bangers and Mash is very thick and juicy and comes with 3. Perhaps one of my favorite aspects of Fiddlers is their incredible tap beer selection. They of course have my favorite Irish beer, which is Smithwick's and everything from imported drafts to domestic micro-breweries. They even have Belhaven's Scottish Ale. They'll never leave you sitting there without some feel-good Irish music--whether it be playing live on the stage or on the radio. I love the feeling, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere of Fiddler's.

If you are in the mood to grab a beer in a non-commercialized irish bar, this is the place. The "authentic" not cheesy irish bar. Grab a beer with a couple friends and enjoy the live music. I would avoid the food but a great beer grabbing place.

Claddaugh's is my number one, and Fiddler's Green is definitely my number two go-to Irish pub because they serve liquor, have the best fish and chips (panko bread crumb crust...wow), and delish guiness wings! Oh yeah and they have trivia on Wednesdays and darts :)

The best Irish pub in Orlando and probably the state of Florida! I love Fiddlers, because they go the extra mile to make it feel like you are in Ireland. The pub/restaurant is huge, so you don't feel cramped, and there's always a place to sit. If you want a place to go for St. Patty's Day, you'll need to show up early to Fiddlers, because it is PACKED. Last St. Patty's, they had an authentic bag pipe quartet!

Pub feel intimate, ordered corn beef sandwich, & Irish breakfast w the blood pudding (sheep blood) . The cornbeef was dry & tasted poorly I was expecting NY style quality Irish cornbeef & was disappointed. Waitress offered an another sandwich. The ceiilu chips & fries were awesome, blood pudding & sausage was delish. This is an excellent spot to watch sports, soccer watching was in play.

Didn't eat here so can't give a review of the food, however, if you like Irish bars and need to stop in for a frosty brew or two, this is a good place to do it. Good service, decent selection of beer, and the beer was nice and cold. Can't ask for more than that.

If you're looking for a local, chances are you will find it once you go to this place. This place has a bit of charm in that the lighting is always "just right" (automatically making the patron more handsome or beautiful depending on your gender). It goes with the bar counter (at least I'd like to think so). The location is also good as it is near the major points of interest in Winter Park. An added feature is the railroad track nearby; I love it when the train passes, as it shakes the building a little. It's a definite change from the typical suburban cityscape of metro Orlando. The crowd varies day by day. It's near Rollins College and popular with students, but families also frequently dine there as do regulars. Haven't watched any football there in a while but have been there for breakfast during the last FIFA World Cup. My favorite time to go is on Saturday afternoons. It's also fun to go there for dinner with a few friends or the missus. Another thing I love about this place is that I haven't seen too many people on the prowl, seems that the majority of patrons are "taken." It's not your downtown bar, that's for sure. Other quick specifics: Staff.. friendly and will get to know you if you go a lot. Oh yeah, and cute girls. Beer... good selection, check their site. Their Guinness has a better taste than other bars around Orlando. Also good selection of bottled beers. Food... always ready fast and tastes so good. Honestly, this place has the best PUB food, be it their shepherd's pie, stew, sandwiches, burgers, etc... (I'm picky about fish & chips however it is better at Fiddler's than most other places). The only items I have never tried are the salmon and the steak.

I ordered the Shepherd's Pie which was ground sirloin in a rich brown gravy sauce topped with champ and veggies. Champ is a northern Irish dish, made by combining mashed potatoes and chopped spring onions with butter and milk. I scooped into my mouth the creamy, baked, mashed potato-y champ and saucy, meaty ground sirloin. The Shepherd's Pie delighted my tongue with its soft yet slightly crisp textures. for more on this review visit my blogo, tastychomps.blogspot.com…

We came in for the Irish breakfast. It was good in the sense that I am in Orlando and it was a full Irish breakfast, which is a bit hard to find... The tomatoes were just the sliced variety, the puddings were a bit mushy, and the bacon - which I had been terribly excited about - was flavorless and anemic. Mushrooms and beans were tasty though! So was the blackberry-apple cobbler.

Oh how I miss college....Fiddlers was stumbling distance from the college I went to, and boy did we have some good times here! Thursday night trivia! Nice beer selection on tap! A great social scene! I remember the food not being that good, and they don't have many vegetarian options. Also, don't order wine from here. Other than that, Fiddlers is a fantastic place to get together with friends after work/school. Winter Park wouldn't be the same without Fiddlers. Other bars have come and gone, but Fidds has always been around.

Been only once, but had a super visit, despite the spaced-out waitress. She was friendly, but left us sittin' for a while before she greeted us. Guinness is served at proper temperature; food (bangers and mash, chicken wings, and steak sandwich) is delicious; and prices are reasonable. I saw a plate of corned beef and cabbage that looked so good, I'll be gettin' it next visit. Once the beer takes effect, you'll forget you're in central Florida and think you're in Ireland.

The Fiddler's is one of the finest pubs in Orlando, and possibly all of central florida. Family owned and operated - if you come here more than once they will start to know you. great food, excellent beer, and a great trivia night, they go a bit overboard on the menus - they put random food items in one bucket, random irish towns in another, and then draw out of each bucket to create the menu, and they don't offer a breakfast - but I won't hold that against them as they don't have the corpoarate overhead to support a focus group that will tell them the true definition of a great irish bar is offering fried dried pigs blood and barley with sausage, bacon, potato bread and tomatoes. God I'm hungry.

Some friend and I went here for drinks after dinner one night and had a pretty good time. There was live music playing, but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't talk, and the waited made sure we always had a drink without bothering us all the time. I didn't try the food there, but it looked good and I will try it next time that we go back. It is a good spot to go have a few drinks with friends that wont leave you broke or reeking of smoke.

This is my favorite Irish restaurant in the whole USA! I love the decor and the service was friendly! My favorite dish here was the blackened fish sandwich! I love this place and wish I could visit it every week. Too bad I live in California now :(

There's nothing better than when a bartender tells you how you should have your drink made...and then be right about it! I have been drinking cider for years and this Scottish dude tells me to drink it on ice...WHAAA?!?!?! well...it was SO GOOD!!! I will try anything (almost) once...and I'm so glad that I did. I will drink my ciders like this from here on out when available. The best thing to eat here in my opinion are the muscles. They are in a creamy white wine sauce and it comes with bread that is excellent for dipping when you have eaten all your huge muscles. I order it every time I go...I crave it sometimes too..it's THAT good! I love the cozy environment and the authenticity of the Irish feel. I've never had bad service and the crowd there is ultra friendly. Maybe it's the booze and the low lit areas, but everyone is super fun and cool. i think everyone's out to have a good time, and there are! so, yeah, go here, check it out...eat good, drink well and have a freaking good time

My faves include the cheeseburger and the potato soup. Honestly, their cheddar cheeseburger is my favorite burger of all time, from anywhere, ever. Everything else is great too. After 10 PM, Fiddler's is 21 and up, and their kitchen closes at 10 or 11 depending on the day of the week. They have a good selection of beers, including various seasonal specials like chocolate and pumpkin flavors. Your server will be happy to bring you a generous sample or two to help you decide. Service is generally good at Fiddler's. Things do slow down a bit when they get busy, but not to the point where it's unforgivable. Delicious and fun... you won't be disappointed.

When you are looking for a unique Irish pub establishment, Fiddlers Green is the place to go. They even have a live band most nights pumping out those great irish tunes. The food they have is a great mix of delicious Irish fare. I would recommend the Munster burger, although greasy, it is great bar food. It is a great mixed crowd, which I prefer over the college crowd that can usually prevail east of here (Fiddlers is in Winter Park). The atmosphere is a bit dark, but seems like something I could find in Ireland. The service is decent, food is good, beer is cheap. I recommend it!

Fun Irish Pub close to Park Ave & Rollins College. I'm a fan of their 5pm nightly trivia & that they serve Strongbow on tap. During the weekends it gets pretty crowded & loses its charm as the prissy & polished Rollins kids roll in. (I think half of it is that i'm getting too old for a college crowd). All in all a good time.

Great place to hang out with friends while you enjoy whatever crazy band is playing that night, and some nice cold beers. I've never tried any of their food, but I know they have a full menu. It can get a little too packed, but otherwise it's a very chill vibe, and a nice change from the downtown Orlando scene.

Such a fun environment! The moment I walked in I could feel the energy and livliness of the pub. Great hang-out spot if you're looking to just kick back, relax and have a great night. I had a steak sandwhich and fries: it was just so tasty! Def. love this place and would recommend everyone to come check it out.

This pub is one of my favorite places to get a drink and chill with friends and co-worker. Their food is superb and since moving here from the midwest, it's one of the few Irish establishments I've found in the area (fake or not). Their servers can get easily overwhelmed on the weekend, but they're pretty much on the ball 90% of the time. On weekends the place starts getting packed around 9 and continues until close.

Awesome. Great late night place to crawl into, especially on those few chilly nights in WP. Sometimes have live music. But great for a corner booth, cold beer and relaxing. Rollins College kids roll in and make it fun to be around that atmosphere. Definite stop.

SOoo I went to this Irish pub for my friends birthday called Fiddler's Green aaand it's kind of amazing. The beer was really great with a good selection of brews and wines, but what really surprised me was the food. It was so good. Bookmakers Sandwiches, Munster Burgers, and Fish n Chips. MMMM, yumm. I'm going back as soon as I can. Oh yeah, did I mention it's cheap. Like really well priced. Me and the girlfriend ate and drank with our friends and the tab didn't even clear $60. Good time!! Have fun crazies!!

My old college pub! Great atmosphere, good food and drinks. An authentic Irish pub with a great staff and awesome menu. It's a bit worn around the edges, but that's what makes it dear to me.

i somehow always end up here when we are out in winter park. i think my friends like to pretend they are still in college i suppose. fiddlers isnt my first choice, staff is great, beer selection is great, service is great, .... just not my scene. to many plad collered shirts and worn baseball caps for my liking. if i were attending rollins though, this is would be my watering hole. this joint is another place i will still go, as a follower. p.s. if you like soccer, its always on the tv's. and ask for deacon, he is a cool dude behind the bar. tell him the cubs suck though :)

The only positive thing one could say is that it looks like what I imagine an Irish pub would on the inside. Other than that, it's loud and overpriced. I'd rather be at one of the crowded bars downtown where drinks are cheaper.

Exceptional pub of winter park. Many selections of beer, drinks, and food. Oh and the live music is pretty exceptional as they play authentic Irish and other requests. Parking is VERY limited so try to carpool. They do have a valet.

I have lived in the Orlando area for many years. After finally being able to visit Fiddler's Green for the first time, which has such an outstanding local reputation, I have to say I am not sure what all the fuss is about. We went for a late lunch on a Sunday and were greeted by a darkened and empty dining room. The overhead shelves, over the booths, were piled with all sorts of vintage items, nearly all of which had lots of dust on them; this was visible from our seats at the table. After spotting a lit Tetley's English Ale on Draft sign on the wall, I asked for a draft, only to be told they did not have it on draft, or even in can form. Was then directed to the draft beer menu and ordered a Smithwick's draft, which was served in a Heineken(?) glass, slightly chilled. This made the beer bitter, so I had to wait for it to warm up before being able to drink it. Another diner asked for Mackeson after seeing it on a draft handle at the bar; again no dice, they didn't have any in house. What was worse was that we were told they regularly change available brands on draft. Then why leave the handle with the Mackeson's name visible to the patrons? Inexplicable and lazy in my opinion, on both counts (the Tetley's sign and the handle). My party ordered the Guiness wings, potato pancakes, chicken pot pie and a side of fries. The Guiness based sauce on the wings was excellent; too bad the wings themselves were terrible. Tough, springy, dry inside and overcooked. I could barely pull apart the wing pieces with two bones in them, they were that tough. I also could not peel the skin of easily; it came off in small flakes. The wings must have been previously frozen as they had no fresh taste or texture at all. What a shame. Two of us got this dish and they were both the same. The potato pancakes also seemed to be from frozen, lacking in any real potato taste. Hard to tell if they were made in house and then frozen, or were a pre-made bought in item. The inside was all mashed potato, apparerently formed and then "breaded" with a little shredded potato on the outside, then fried. There were three pancakes to the order, served with slices of square, packaged cheddar cheese melted on top of each pancake. Very disappointing to find this in an Irish place, and frankly I can't think of any excuses to not have a freshly made potato pancake on an Irish pub menu. It's not like they are hard to make. The chicken pot pie was reported by the diner that got it to be adequate and at least looked authentic, but it wasn't anything special taste wise and nothing to come back for. The side of fries were very good, which is perplexing. Nice texture, well cooked and seasoned and tasted of fresh cut potato. Why couldn't everything else have taken a cue from the fries? Service was somewhat adequate but a bit vacant, which I can't understand for the place being nearly empty at the time. 10 minutes after getting our food the server came back for a check-in, and ask if everything was OK. I wanted to tell her about the wings, but after getting only one OK answer from the four of us, she left so fast i had no chance to ask, or even yell after her to come back, she disappeared so fast around a corner. 10 minutes later we had to get another server's attention to ask for drink refills. Our server also intially brought us all 4 of our drinks by hand, all at once, with no use of a service tray. She seemed to be having a major problem with this, trying to set down all four glasses on the table at once from her two hands, holding them all. Inexperienced perhaps? Same problem later with the food, all delivered by hand, no tray, leaving one diner to get her plate last, although it did come within a minute. All in all, given Fiddler's long standing wonderful reputation, this experience was terribly disappointing and I cannot recommend the food to anyone at this time. While pricing was very reasonable, especially for Winter Park, I actually would not have minded paying up to 20% more if the food were as good as Fiddler's reputation. Fresh it up guys, and get your wait staff some training.

This is probably one of my favorite bars in the country. Yes, it has authentic Irish food and great beer but it is not just an Irish pub for the local college kids. You can bring the kids to dinner here. My 75 year old uncle from Ireland parties like a rock star here :) No matter what your age you are sure to have a fun time here..love that.

Next door to Rollins College, Fids was my college stompin ground. Hit up the 5 o'clock weekday trivia hosted by Curtis Earth and bring with you the "monkey word" of the day found on his website. Be aware Curtis is sometimes a no show. The weekends are truly action packed and usually require some time and effort just to get to the bar. They also have some pretty good pub food.

Fiddlers boasts one of the most fantastically cheery atmospheres in the Orlando area. This restaurant serves traditional Irish fare and the pub is stocked with some of the Irish Island's best brews. Don't miss the Bangers & Mash as one of Ireland's signature dishes cooked to perfection at Fiddler's. After 10 on almost any night, the bar crowd grows large and thirsty making for great conversation. Visit on the weekend (Thursday-Saturday) for live music.

Of course I love this place! Stumbling distance from my local crash pads. That and I know all the bar tenders no matter how long I've been gone. This place rules. Even if a bunch of meat-head Rollins kids show up at midnight to booze it up. The food here is top notch too! I highly recommend the chicken tenders and french fries with the house-made honey mustard. Actually, anything with that honey mustard is the best thing you'll put in your mouth. delicious traditional Irish fair too.

mannn! what i love here are the bouncers right before you walk in. i thought it was like a joke the first time i went there, casue its like in the middle of the street(almost) and theres really no other bars around there, but they take theri job seriously. hehe once you get in (if they let you in) its nothing but nonstop fun! the food's good too and the atmosphere makes eveyrthing fun! Enjoy!

This is a restaurant in pub's clothing. has the trappings of a pub but the place is really focused on being a dining establishment. The pub food is pretty good and the selection was decent. Service was casual and slow, to the point of wondering if the server was on prescription meds, kind of slow. Also i can't figure out who is going to come here and drink pints with their mates at $5.25 for a draft beer, trust fund babies?, hedge fund managers?

We went here for one of the live music and dinner events and it as absolutely lovely. The Pros: -FOOD & BEER: I had a roast beef dip (not sure if this is even irish, but it was delicious, so a +1 in my book, hubby had the chicken pot pie and it was really great, another person in our party had the shepherds pie and I tried a bite that was really great too) -Just a little noisy, especially helpful when you have a kiddo or two in tow -Everyone was friendly and nice to the kids, extra star for not being rude to well behaved children The Cons: tricky parking, I can deal with tricky parking. Some can't, so heads up. Overall this place is great and I wish there were more restaurants like this in the Orlando area!

I know this place is basically a Winter Park institution but I was a little let down. Fiddler's definitely looks the part of Irish pub and has the bar regulars to back them up. Any given day you are likely to see the same folks around the back bar. Food here was so so. Not as authentic or fresh as I had hoped. My beer came out warm which is unforgivable if you're charging me that much for it. Happy hour offer was okay with a few beers going for $3 or so. There was also a platter of random snack out on a table for anyone to grab. That creeped me out a little but I tried a few of the fried clam strips all the same. Fid's is a mix of older locals and Rollins students. They have live music some nights which may bring me back sometime.

I've been coming here for ten years now. How did I forget to write a review for Fiddler's Green? My creative writing group from UCF used to meet up at Fiddler's Green after workshops, and we'd eat, drink, and be merry until it was time to get what little sleep we could before class the next day. In the years since I've graduated, I've returned to Fiddler's Green at least twice a year, and I'm still not tired of it. First off, parking is a bit of a pain, especially on a busy night. Be prepared to find an alternate parking lot if need be. That being said, let's head inside. The atmosphere feels very authentic, like you just walked into an old pub in Ireland. It has a very "lived in" look, and I mean that in a good way. It feels like they uprooted an old Irish building and its decor and transported it to Winter Park. The staff has always been very friendly. They're very knowledgeable about the menu and can help guide you through if you have gluten sensitive friends. The food is top notch. You've got a selection of traditional Irish pub fare like hen, bangers and mash, Irish stew, Gaelic steak, etc. If you're not quite ready to get out of your comfort zone, Fiddler's also has a selection of burgers and sandwiches albeit with an Irish twist. I've had the bangers and mash, hen in a pot, and the roasted duck, and they're all delicious. I've also had a few of their burgers, and they're very tasty as well. Their fries are seasoned well and nice and crispy. I took off one star for the parking and some of the questionable entertainment they provide. Some nights, you'll get to hear a local artist perform Irish songs and it really enhances the Irish pub vibe. Other nights, you get a bunch of over the hill guys playing god awful covers of great classic rock songs, and it kind of takes you out of the moment. I understand that there probably isn't an abundance of local Irish musicians around here, but listening to a group of balding dads play an embarrassing cover of "Mary Jane's Last Dance" really kills the mood and reminds you that you're in Winter Park instead of Ireland. Besides that, you really can't go wrong here. Excellent food, fantastic atmosphere and decor, awesome staff; come hungry!

Fiddlers is a nice restaurant that keeps the authenticity of Irish pubs with the closeness of tables, dim lighting, and the art and design of the bar. The menu has the Irish classics such as the shepherds pie and cornbeef and cabbage. I have a feeling as though it is missing something though, as to why I gave it the rating. Granted, I would recommend it to others and I would return!

I had heard about this place in the past and finally gave it a shot. We went on an off time for the restaurant (somewhere between lunch and dinner and it was empty) and ordered the shepherds pie and a ruben. For being the only people in the restaurant it took a VERY long time to get our food and the waitress barely ever came by the table. The food when it finally got to the table was flavorful and authentic but it wasn't good enough for me to say "I have to come back to this place". It was okay for a one time visit but that is probably all it will end up being.

We ended up here after the Winter Park St Patty's day parade. It was super busy but they had live music and the staff was doing a great job keeping up! I had shepherds pie with cheese of course and a chilled pint of Harp! Both were exactly what the Dr ordered for my hungry belly! My date had the hen pie...it came topped with a prefect clover made of pastry. Broth was savoury and flavourful plus stacked with chicken! Great Irish pub with tasty food in Winter Park!!

Fiddler's Green is pretty much a must visit if you live in the area. It's the green building on Fairbanks where Fairbanks splits into Orange Ave. There's pretty much nightly entertainment, which ranges from live music to trivia night, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. The wood paneled walls give it a very traditional pub feel to it. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and their beer list always features a good variety of choices. They have a good happy hour that features cheaper beers and mixed drinks! The pub fare is on point. I love their chicken tenders, which are moist inside and perfectly crispy outside. They're not your normal pub tenders that are out of a freezer bag!! SO good!! I also really enjoyed their Shepherd's Pie, but I couldn't finish the whole thing in one sitting. I recently brought my boyfriend here, who grew up in Britain, and he loved the homey atmosphere that matches actual pubs in Ireland. He also really loved the sausages; I guess they're "done right" in terms of how they're made! A friend of mine has recommended going for brunch, so I think next time I go, it'll be to check out their brunch menu!

I've had several of the menu items but the potato and leek soup is probably my favorite. It's a great spot to hang out with friends to catch up, watch a game, or sing along with the Irish band. Glad we can say this is in our town!

Fish and chips and bangers and mash. About as tasteless as British food used to be 30 years ago. I guess they don't know what Salt, pepper or garlic is. Great beer menu. I'm sure that the music is entertaining. That's all folks. With all the great Asian food available within just a few miles why would anyone waste their time here. Sushi, Indian, Thai, all kinds of Chinese offer flavor. But just not here. Nice waiters. Attentive.

This is one of my favorite spots in Winter Park. I went there on my first date with my husband, so we continue to go back from time to time or when we are in the area. i enjoy the selection of beers on draught, as there are a number of choices. They have the most popular of Irish beers and also a few American ones. Fiddler's also has a full bar, in case beer is not your thing. I really like the selection of appetizers and entrees they have to offer. There is a pretty extensive menu. The Shepherd's pie and potato pancakes for an appetizer are my favorite. The prices are reasonable. They range from about $12.00-$17.00 for an entree. I have gone here on dates or with friends from school. Certain nights have live entertainment, which is nice. However, it does tend to be more crowded at these times and you might be unable to find a seat when you first arrive. I love the atmosphere as it does give off an authentic Irish feel. I would recommend going here for a casual night out where you would like to just sit back and relax.

I live really close to Fiddler's Green and have been several times with my family. Usually we are pretty boring and order the fish and chips. They are so delicious! We actually come here because we crave their fish and chips. The portions are generous and both my daughters love the food. I really like the pub atmosphere and the service has always been great.

With a hungry Brit as a husband, it can difficult to satisfy his lunch cravings. With a traditional interior vibe and delicious food he was more than impressed. The bangers and mash were spot on and the curry wings are the best wings we have had in a long time!

Came here for the second time tonight and holy shit balls the food is amazing. Had the hen in a pot, it was just the right amount of food... Although I could probably fill up a bathtub, bath in the gravy and still not be satisfied by the amount. I want to check out the shepherds pie next time, but the hen in a pot is definitely a favorite now. They have a great craft beer selection, I haven't found too many places that carry delirium on tap. Billy the bartender took care of us this time and last. He made some great suggestions, was very friendly and is very knowledgable! Already dreaming about my next visit.

Fiddler's Green, or Fids, as my cohort affectionally called it, is one of the best, if not, the BEST pub in Orlando. They've got cozy seating throughout the restaurant as well as your traditional bar area + hi-top tables. I have had MANY a good time with friends and family here. It's a good place to go with a group of friends or just with your special someone. Very welcoming and intimate atmosphere. Perhaps not as intimate on one of their busy nights, but still, FREAKING AWESOME. They have a good beer selection, but if you're at Fids, forget about their good selection; get a Smithwicks (pronounced Schmitix) first. The food is great too. I usually get the fish & chips. The fries are friggin' amazing. Get some ketchup and mixitup with some mayo. You're welcome. They also have good burgers and I hear the chicken fingers are good too. You really can't go wrong with anything you get here. They offer live music, sometimes even some traditional Irish musicians. They have beer, trivia night, darts, beer, full liquor, cozy seating, beer, and even.. oh I forgot what I was going to say. Oh, I also want to make mention of the beautiful bar. It's very rich, dark wood and they have statues carved out of the wood here and there up above. It's really beautiful. So atmosphere, drinks, spirits, spirit, and food. These are many of the reasons why this is one of my favorite places. Make a visit to Fids. You won't regret it.

Great ambience, terrible food. Come without an appetite. Also, don't expect your beer to be poured in the correct glass.

Fiddler's Green is your standard Irish Pub with that dark gloomy ambiance. They have a nice selection of drafts and bottles so come ready to be adventurous on trying some new and exciting beers. Standard full bar, so liquor is available. As for food, I've gone with the Shepherd's Pie and it is always satisfying. Comes with a small side of carrots. At certain hours they have live bands on deck and there are dart boards in the back. Check it out!

I think everyone that has written a review from not too long ago must have been all drunk. The mash potatoes are instant, the bangers tasted like they came out of the freezer as well as the fish and chips also the fish was really greasy. I give it 3 stars only because of our waitress who was really pleasant and funny. Sorry to say will not be coming back.

I have really mixed feelings about Fiddler's Green. On one hand, the atmosphere is awesome. On the other hand, the live music can often be too loud (it's a pub, not a concert), the food is so-so (the spinach dip is particularly bad), and their drink menus are terribly out-of-date (we ordered 5 different ciders and ales below they actually had one). I love coming here to hang out, but I recommend eating dinner beforehand.

Great food, but horrible service and crowd control on the busiest day of the year...St. Patrick's Day. Fire marshall present due to crowd, but hostesses and doorman kept letting people in tiny bar, making for a less-than-pleasant St. Pat's celebration. They need to learn how to better manage reservations and the amount of time and people in the place eating!

This is one of the first Irish bars I've ever been too. First time was probably back in the late 90's. I don't come here often though....maybe once a year? I've always had a good time. They have a nice ambiance. Relatively nice people and staff. Good Irish folk entertainment. I remember one time an elderly Irish guy starting singing to me at the bar. His accent was so thick, I couldn't understand half of what he was saying. They used to just serve Irish beers, plus a full liquor bar. The last time I went, they had a full craft beer list of American beers (half of which seemed out of stock). They have a few types of Irish whiskey too... not just Jameson. The food is OK. I had the leek soup last time ,and it was salty for my taste. I can't comment on anything else. They also had some free appetizers for a Friday happy hour, the last time I went. The past couple of years I have done their annual Fiddlers Green 5k. The race starts/finishes at Mead Gardens, less than a mile away. Afterward, we and other runners/walkers, head over here and they give you a choice of Guinness, Harp and Smithwick, plus a shot of Whiskey, all for free. Then you have the option of an Irish breakfast for about $8, which I did enjoy. The race is fun, and it's fun hanging around at the bar afterward. Don't miss it next year!! It's usually sometime during the first couple weeks of March, before St. Patrick's Day.

Loved this place! We went right before St. Patty's day just to try it. Omg the lamb stew is to die for. And the inside is so homey and it makes me feel so welcome. Will be going back soon when we get the chance.

This is the third or fourth time I've been here, and the experience seems to be getting worse with each visit. First, we were a part of a large party (we called ahead to make reservations). We were told that there were two other parties expected throughout the night, but we were the first to arrive. Even still, we were sat in the WORST possible spot-- RIGHT in front of the stage. We were shoved into this tiny, LOUD space. Other patrons and waitstaff pushed past us constantly. If we were the first to arrive, WHY weren't we put in one of the more spacious party areas? Back to that stage thing. Is there some sort of rule that says the speaker must be turned up to maximum output? Awful. We had exactly one waitress. She. Was. Ridiculous. 2/3 of the time, she took our orders and we never saw them. The other 1/3, either we received a mystery order of food or drinks or we waited longer than necessary. Our checks were an absolute mess. The food itself was mediocre at best. I had the shepherd's pie, which I remembered to be pretty tasty. Not this night. It tasted like spaghetti sauce under the potatoes. Not good at all. The drinks we DID receive were good. I'll give them that.

It was ok. My husband and I were in the area and love to find new places to eat in Winter Park so decided to try this place out. The service was pretty good and food was ok - decent but not something I would have again. Experiencing it once was good enough.

Always great service and the live music is fantastic. Makes for a great place to meet up with friends or come hear a great band with a good selection of drinks.

We wanted to fall in love with this place - Great location, warm and welcoming staff, nice vibe on the inside - unfortunately the food fell a little short. It just lacked flavor. Portion sizes were hearty, so value was there - we had shepherds pie, fish and chips, and steak au poivre- we all brought home half of our food. The crab tomato bisque was outstanding but everything else was so bland. Maybe that is authentic Irish food but my preference is toward lot of flavor. There's a lot of opportunity to make shepherds pie a dish to crave beyond just putting cheese on top. We did split the blackberry & Apple cobbler and it was worth every calorie - not too sweet, the fruit still had nice texture, ice cream melting on top - YUM! We haven't given up on the place - it's still a warm and welcoming place to be and there is more menu to explore.

This bar is always consistent. Great food, great bands..dark..not too expensive (just dont order a car bomb) smells like a bar in here though.. gotta get over that. Great Winter Park location.. Irish bar to a t. :)

This use to be a favorite of the entire family. The last trip here the food was terrible , greasy and tasteless and some could not be eaten. The service was fine and friendly. One out of 6 of the meals was taken off the bill, but that was not enough to make any of us want to return.

Had an Irish car bomb. Boyfriend loved it. I had the 32 burger. Beware the onion rings are 3 inches tall, too big for me to smash them on my burger. Also the rings were heavy and greasy. The waitress was great, friendly and fast service. Authentic Irish style food.

Authentic Irish pub. The fish and chips and bangers and mash were very good. I also got the curry sauce on the side for the chips. They have a good selection of beer and cider. All the staff were nice.

My wife tried to introduce me to this place about 4 years ago, I initially resisted. After losing an argument I ended up there and i'm not really upset about it. The food is great! The fish and chips are delicious, the potato and leak soup is great and the bookmakers sandwich is always tasty. Great selection of domestic and import beers, including my favorite Beamish stout. You can even get a sample serving of four beers for $5. Great pub atmosphere and a great place to watch the football game, American or European.

I stumbled upon Fiddlers about a year ago. I watched a few U.S soccer games there and had a blast. This past mothers day is actually when I had my first meal there. In total we had 2 glorious burgers and a Sheppard's pie. All three meals were delicious. The burgers come with deep fried onion rings that are artistically placed on top of the juicy burgers. This was an excellent touch and the taste of the food met the high expectation's that my eyes had set. We also had chips and salsa for an appetizer. This chips and salsa was spicy and fresh, funny how this Irish pub rivals the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in this regard. The staff was also very kind. We were thirsty as it was a very hot mother's day in Orlando. Our waitress went ahead and brought a pitcher of water to our table so that we did not have to be thirsty. So many times I wished previous waiters/waitress'es did this with no luck. She basically read my mind and secured me as a future customer. The ambiance of Fiddlers Green is also wonderful. It has a very "Lord of the Rings" feel to it. Wood floors, mahogany bar and an old piano. When you walk into the place you are no longer in Orlando, you are in rustic Ireland. If Fiddlers Green has been on your to do list make it a point to cross it off ASAP. If you haven't given Fiddlers Green a thought until now, make sure to pay it a visit.

The atmosphere is great and the food tastes good. This is a great place to come for drinks with friends they have all the Irish beers and drinks you could possibly want in an Irish pub. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I would exercise caution when ordering food though because I most certainly got food poisoning from eating the fish and chips last night. And my roommates chicken was pink on the inside although he luckily dodged a bullet as he did not get sick even though he ate half of it. I question the food handling and/or storage procedures happening in the kitchen. The food tastes great but that's no consolation when it's violently rejected by your body less than two hours after consuming it. Probably won't be going back for a while just because my stomach churns thinking of the place for now. Hopefully an isolated incident.

What I wouldn't give for a water right now. Seriously I am so thirsty trying to drive home from fiddlers Green that I am debating on stopping somewhere and getting water. I was there for over two hours, over two different Stouts, a sandwich and some potato leek soup (which is very good by the way)- and multiple reminders that we would really like some water please and thank you. Needless to say, the service was lacking.

Irish food. (Bad Irish food.) Irish beer. (Mediocre Irish beer you could find at nearly any bar: Guinness, Smithwicks, etc.) Irish Ambiance (ok, that's pretty legit). So, basically you have authentic Irish atmosphere with nothing else extraordinary. I know it's a staple in the community and it'll never go anywhere, but I will never order an actual meal here. I might grab a beer at the bar if I'm waiting for a table across the street, or attend the annual 5k and consume my "free" beer here, but that's about it.

My husband and I went here for an early dinner last evening and it was delightful. The "pub" is kitschy, in a good way, with mis-matched tables, chairs and booths that resemble old church pews for benches. The old piano is a nice touch as are the low, dark ceilings and wood everywhere. The only cons were the noise from the bar area and from the old guys in the rear who were playing cards, the booth benches which are quite uncomfortable and the crowded parking lot. The service was excellent and we had a trainee who did a great job of checking on us, without hovering. Keep her! Husband ordered a couple of draft beers (good) and potato & leek soup, which was very rich and yummy. Our entrees were the fish & chips and the shepherd's pie. The shepherd's pie was the better of the two as the fish & chips were too greasy. As is our weakness, dinner was followed by the bread & butter pudding. O..M..G! I'm ordering dessert first from now on. It's made in-house and could not have been better. Warm, rich, not too many raisins (hooray!) and a scoop of ice cream is optional. Why bother with the ice cream though because this pudding can stand alone. We'll definitely return to check out other offerings.

We met some friends for happy hour and dinner. We thought it was ok but not great. The beer selection is good but not imaginative. I had bangers and mash. I liked it, but it wasn't anything special. My wife and her friend split the fish and chips and they felt the same way, good, nothing wrong with it, but not something to write home about. It is not expensive and you don't have to dress up. They have beers that you'll like. Overall, A-OK.

Amazing Irish pub! I've been on several occasions and always enjoyed it. The staff is attentive. Dark and loungy as any good Irish bar should be. Food is good - not amazing but good choice. The live entertainment is authentic and fun! They are soccer enthusiasts!

We went for St. Patty's day and this place was a madhouse...but in a good way!! There was a long wait to get in due to capacity, but once we got in their the service was great and the food actually came out very quickly despite and huge crowd! Got the fish and chips, which were amazing and huge! Shared it between two of us and it was definitely plenty! Definitely want to come back on a regular day when I'm craving some fish and chips!

I absolutely loved this place. It was authentic Irish music and food. The ambience of the restaurant itself was warm, dark and overall gave a feel of a real Irish pub. I've gone there twice now and I have not been disappointed. The first dish I had was their Rueben Sandwich. So far I have not been able to find a single sandwich better than theirs. The last time I went I had their Beer battered fish dish and it just as good. Wasn't by favorite by far, but definitely flavorful. I recommend going there for a good time. They even have live music some nights. It's a very lively place.

2 stars isn't bad considering our overall experience. I knew it was a 'maybe' based on reviews but thought I'd give in & go since the BF really wanted to try it. We had lunch at Fiddler's on Saturday. We arrived around noon and I was excited about the prospect of brunch OR lunch since I had no idea what I wanted. We were greeted by staff a little bit after we entered, though it would been nice if there was a sign to stay put or be seated. The entrance is small and cramped so we just stood there - looking confused. Oh well! Not the first time. There are several areas with the one in the front full of tables and booths. The light coming in was nice but somehow we got seated and an itty bitty table in a corner by the bar. Now, if I was here just for drinks - no problem at all! There was a corner bench and 2 chairs but the chairs were in the middle of a main thoroughfare. We parked on the VERY narrow slip of a bench and tried to settle in. Our waitress, the same one who seated us, was plainly bothered by our presence. There was a party of gathering of some sort in an adjacent room and that was her primary focus. Fine. We ordered Strongbow since it was on tap (hooray!) and stared with the Scotch egg. The crust was warm to the touch but the egg still cool. I enjoyed it. For lunch, I ordered the Bookmaker's Sandwich \ which was a steak sandwich with peppers and onions. This was served with a side of fries (fried potato wedges). The steak was very big (good), the bun soft (good), the peppers & onions were almost nonexistent (bad), and the entire thing lacked any seasoning & flavor (bad). The steak was overcooked and had a boiled appearance. My BF got the corned beef sandwich with swiss. If there was anything that lacked more flavor than my sandwich is was this. It was really disappointing. The thing that really got to me was her general lack of care. She didn't explain brunch, any of the menu items, didn't ask if we had questions or even how our meal was. She just kept bringing dishes out and our table was already too small. But she didn't clean any of them until I started handing them to her. So aggravating! Also, not that we indulged in the Bloody Mary bar (because we didn't even KNOW about it) but it's set up on this little counter top near the bar. I watched patron after patron add items to their drinks with their hands; digging through garnishes like they were looking for gold. The best part of this meal was when it was over. We will not be going back.

Everytime I come to this place they make me wait outside for a random capacity check. The last few times they have given me an inaccurate time span and I end up waiting for over 20 minutes. One time I left a tab open and when I went to get my card they said they did not have it but then I called again the following day to double check before I cancelled it and they magically happened to have it . The staff is very incompetent and unaccomadating.

I had honestly never heard of this place before I visited there with a few friends. Overall, the experience was positive, certainly enough for me to return! I had the hen in a pot, which like most pot pies I have had in my lifetime, was flaky and delicious. However, by far the best dish I tried that night was the Irish stew. As a British native, the stew was pretty damn good...I am used to an English stew, but the comparison is close enough this side of the pond, without getting too technical for the wrong reasons. The beer selection was okay. The atmosphere was that of a typical pub. Overall, my first time was a good experience. I will definitely be back again to try other dishes so that I can give a more accurate overview of the restaurant as a whole.

The ladies from work and I decided to go here for lunch for our monthly social get together. I pre-ordered five meals and when we got there everything was ready and we happily sat down to eat. We were off to a good start considering some of the reviews I read made me apprehensive. I ordered the Irish Stew which was awesome! Very flavorful, perfect texture... I'd give it five stars for sure. One of us ordered the corn beef sandwich and enjoyed it while another ordered the fish and chips and liked it a lot as well. The other two ladies ordered the salmon caesar salad and one of them kept having to pull small bones from hers. Since the two with the salads showed up after us, they did not have drinks right away and our waitress did not notice. Someone from our group ended up asking a different waitress for drinks while our waitress was no where to be found. Once we received our checks we noticed the bills were slightly higher than what their website had advertised and naturally we asked the waitress about it. She said she had to get a manager since she has nothing to do with the prices. A few moments go by and she comes back w/ a menu that she kept flapping in my face and says that their website is not updated, however she could give us a discount. We were OK with that. When she returned with the discounted checks, we gave her our cards and cash and patiently waited. She came back with our cards and no change for those who paid cash. When she was asked about the change, she said she had to wait for the bartender to give her change -- more time passed and she came back with the change except she was $2.00 short. We were thinking maybe she was trying to pay her rent this month and decided to tip herself, lol! When she was asked about the $2.00 she gave us an attitude and argued about how much the meal was and finally yelled " OK, I WILL GO GET YOU MORE CHANGE!!!" The other patrons in the restaurant were looking at us and it was embarrassing. The waitress came back with the change, slapped it on the table and said sorry. She did not tell us thank you for dining, have a good afternoon - nothing. She just scurried off. I will probably go back in hopes that I receive different service. The food was really good and I would enjoy trying them again.

This is still to this day my favorite Irish Pub of any I've been to in any city, even NYC. Food-wise I have only ever had their Shepherd's Pie, which is to DIE for! They actually use lamb meat as well, not ground meat, so it is a true shepherd's pie. The decor is what I imagine a pub in Ireland to be and it would always crack me up to hear the owners speak (they are from Ireland). The biggest plus for this place for me was that they had Paulaner's Hefeweizen on tap. That is my absolutely favorite wheat beer and ever since my move to Pittsburgh I struggle to find a bar that carries it. The bartenders know how to treat a beer right, with the proper pour and serving it in the correct glasses, a lost art it seems. I enjoyed many a night here drinking Paulaner's and dropping back jager bombs. The only downside is during the weekends the place fills with the pretentious Rollins, Winter Park crowd. As long as you can ignore the pink Ralph Lauren button downs with popped collars and the bro-sy nature of it all, you will be ok. Also, it's a pricey, but I'm willing to pay for a good beer selection and knowledgeable bartenders, which this place has. Side note: If you're a smoker, venture out back pass the bathrooms to get your fix.

I have been to Fiddler's a handful of time for drinks but never specifically to eat. This week I had the pleasure of having lunch at Fiddler's with Ian G. He used to work here so of course I had to ask what he suggested I try. He informed me that their fries have been featured on the Food Network and receive a ton of recognition, being a potato girl I am not sure how I missed that. He also told me they had some of the best chicken fingers around... what? Really? I was not expecting that one. We went ahead and split chicken fingers and fries and boy was he right. The chicken fingers are real chicken and breaded and made there. They are not the frozen type where you can get anywhere. They were so delicious. The honey mustard was a perfect flavor as well, light and tasty. The fries... YUM!!!! They are larger, steak fries with a crinkle cut and OH so many seasonings. Not even sure what the special seasoning covers the amazingness but they were bursting with delicious flavor. We also split their awesome spinach dip. Never disappoints! So glad I got to hit up this great place for food finally, it's well above normal bar grub. Lunch 11:30-3:30 with a great menu - I def suggest to stop in and grab some yummo food and make sure to try the fries! You will NOT be disappointed.

Wow. Great food great atmosphere. Highly recommend. We searched all over Orlando looking for a place that could provide Irish atmosphere and good food. The food was served in less than 15 minutes piping hot. It was delicious. We sat in front of a fireplace and sipped our Guinness beer. What more do I have to say. I would go for the Irish stew. It was fabulous.

Where in Orlando can you get a little taste of Ireland, and find a great pub with delicious fish and chips? Fiddler's Green, of course. When my boyfriend told me all the good things his boss had to say about this place, we decided to check it out for ourselves -- we were not disappointed. He had the fish and chips, and I had a burger. We did share a bit of each other's food (I know, sickeningly cute, but I had to try the fish!) He was impressed with the burger, as was I with the fish and chips. Sadly, we went during a lunch break from work, so I couldn't hit up the bar. I do intend to come back for dinner one day and give it a try, though. Service was absolutely excellent! I cannot say enough good things about our server -- she was the sweetest, most attentive, fun server I've had anywhere, hands down. The place itself is an experience -- it definitely feels like an Irish pub. Fun atmosphere, good food, great service -- what else can I say? Fiddler's Green has earned a place as one of my favorite spots in Orlando.

Standard issue Irish pub. Beer could have been colder, and the food was OK. Better options available in downtown orlando, but not a bad option if you are stuck in WP.

I've been going to Fids for over 14 years. Obviously i am a creature of habit and I am bias but It's the best Irish pub in the southeast. Cool atmosphere for beer or booze. Super people...if your in town looking to have a drink, talk with your buddy and possibly check out a college co-ed this is your place.

Very fun! A great authentic Irish pub with a decent Irish beer selection, good food, and a really fun atmosphere! Drinks are fairly expensive, and the Rollins College crowd overwhelms it on weekends, but still a fun place to go have a drink with some friends.

Fish and chips is some of the best in Orlando. Huge portion with potato wedges. I've also had the potato pancakes with smoked salmon on top which was great and also a pretty big portion

Had the 32 burger. Dayum!! It was good. The fries were perfectly cooked as well. The leek soup is a little salty but the beer is to die for. Smithwicks and old speckled hen are worth the drive for us up here alone. Get on it!!

Fiddler's is easily one of the best pubs in Central Florida. The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, and authentic feeling. The food can range from okay to great on a given night, with it usually falling right in the middle at "good." My favorites are the Shepherd's Pie and the Ulster Burger. Their Ceili Chips (homemade potato chips) are awesome when they are fresh. Fiddler's isn't known for great service, but it is a fun place to unwind and spend an evening with friends.

I love this place! I almost always get the Sheppard's pie, be sure to order it topped with cheddar cheese. Today I ordered the corned beef & cabbage which was also equally amazing. Also, these people know how to pour a beer. I love black & blue's (Guinness & Blue Moon) and the bartenders know how to properly layer the two so the colors do not run together. Today the service was a little slower than expected. We went as a group to lunch and for some reason it took FOREVER! Also, every time we asked the server a questions about the menu, his response was "I don't eat that so I wouldn't know", or "I'm not old enough to drink, so I wouldn't know" (now you made me feel old, less tip for you!)... Hmmm someone needs to study up on their menu... Otherwise, great place, the food is consistently good, and the beer selection is fantastic. A must go in Orlando!

Cool atmosphere eh food. I had the fish n chips and my husband had the shepards pie. His was food barely warm and he did not even finish it. My fish n chips just had way too much batter on it. Just too much $ for crappy food. I could see however it might be a cool bar, but that's it. Scruffy Murphy's in College Park is wayyyy better!

I always make this a stop when in Orlando as the Fiddler's is clearly the best pub in the area. Staff has always been pleasant and attentive, music is great and the portions are more than sufficient. We seldom wander too far from the "basics"...(Fish and Chips, Shepherds Pie, Hen in a Pot) and all are executed nicely. The beer selection is more than adequate for any reasonable pub fan and the restrooms are usually clean (except when the college kids invades and late night aiming becomes challenging for the preppy crowd). So skip the overrated Disney area places and take time to stop at Fiddler's to meet some locals and enjoy good food at decent prices. It's worth the drive and is a great place to get "It's A Small World" out of your head.

Best fish and chips in town, and I have tried quite a few. Best authentic feeling Irish eatery in town, great live folk music on weekends, and when they have woodchuck cider on tap I cant help myself. Yummy!

Find parking. Wait in line. Get seated. Order a pint of Guinness. Get the barbecue guiness wings. Then the shepherds pie or an ulster burger. Order another pint of Guinness. Play darts. Listen to the live bands. Get one last pint of Guinness. Have a friendly chat with the person next to you. Say your blessings and walkout content... It was a great night. Probably the best pub outside of Ireland...worth a visit at least once if you are from out of town. If you live in the area and you have not visited then get out of the rock you're living under and go!

The Hubster and I planned for a night of bar hopping in Winter Park this past Saturday and started off our night at the Fiddlers Green. We had never been to the Fiddler's Green, but we are sure glad we came/ First things first, the logistics. The parking is terrible! It was very hard to find a spot and we arrived early at about 7PM. They do offer complimentary valet, but unless your a cheapskate, then you will have to fork over a tip. That said, the parking would not keep us from visiting again. OK, now on to the good stuff. I love the atmosphere of this place. Very authentic or at least what I would expect to see an Irish Pub look like if I were in Ireland. Lots of wood and brass, Guinness decor everywhere, Irish flags, and some interesting artwork. Definitely allot for the eye to take in and to converse about. We ended up sitting at the bar as we were only planning to stay for a quick bite and a few drinks. Let me start by saying that the bar staff was excellent. They were attentive without being overbearing. And they were genuine in demeanor. I absolutely cannot stand wait staff that pastes on a fake smile and talks to me in that syrupy I am so nice voice. These guys were genuinely nice. Stephanie ended up serving us for most of the night, but the other bar staff did also check in on us as well. We started off with a Guinness and a glass of wine (pi-not grigio). Both were what we expected, no complaints there. The Guinness is what you would expect it to be from an Irish Pub, the right temp and you have to wait awhile to let the head settle. We asked Stephanie to set us up with some shots that were pleasing to the taste-buds but still packed a punch. We got exactly that. Southern Comfort, OJ, and some grenadine ended up being the drink of the night for us. We decided to order an appetizer and went with the Guinness BBQ wings. We have had these before at other locations and were almost leery of ordering them based on past experience, but I am so glad we did! The wings are a very nice size and dripping in sauce. The bleu cheese was creamy and smooth. They were the best wings we have had in a long time. This is by far the best thing I had there. At this point, we had planned to leave and hit another place in the area but the atmosphere and service here were so good, we decided not to leave a good thing. We ordered another appetizer, the potato pancakes with salmon on the side. we got three huge potato pancakes with tons of sour cream and chives. I also asked for bacon crumbles on the side which really added some flavor, definitely try it if you like bacon. The first potato pancake started off tasting OK, but then we got to a point where there was a distinct metal/fishy taste to it. I thought maybe it was because hubby was eating the salmon, but then he mentioned the odd taste as well. We then both left that pancake to try one of the other two separately. I ate almost all of mine before I got that same flavor again. Not sure what that was all about. I definitely will never order that dish again. :( After a few more shots and a few glasses of wine and beer, the good ol' salt craving started to stir so we decided to order some Fries (potato wedges). They sure did hit the spot. Again, the portion size was plenty. The skins are on which adds to the great flavor and taste of the fries. They were exactly what we were looking for. All in all, we spent about 2.5 hours here and had a blast. The place was full, but I didn't feel like I was crowded. The acoustics make it easy to hear your conversation while still offering privacy. They also offer darts and had a live band in the front. We couldn't really hear the band sitting at the left side of the bar behind where the darts are so we weren't even aware of the entertainment (an Irish band of sorts singing some silly songs). Next time we will definitely sit at the middle of the bar so we can enjoy both the excellent bar service and the entertainment. This place is a permanent fixture for us and I cant wait to try the rest of their menu. We've visited other Irish pubs/resteraunts (Liam FitzPatricks in Lake Mary) and they dint even compare to each other. The Fiddler's Green in another one of Orlando's hidden treasures by far. :)

There's a mistake I believe a lot of Orlando residents make with Fiddler's Green, and it's remembering the difference between a warm local hangout and an authentic Irish pub. Of course, a true pub should be just as warm and inviting as any corner watering hole. I arrived early on Saturday of this past St. Patrick's weekend. For a couple hours, it was as sparse and quiet as you'd expect any bar to be in the early afternoon. But this was St. Patrick's Day. In Philly, your chance of finding a seat would be gone before noon. But that's the clientele. More about the pub. It's adorned in the dark wood I love to find in pubs. They offer bar seating, main room seating just off the bar (tolerable chairs, very poor stools) and two rooms off either side with more comfortable appointments for dining rather than drinking. Speaking of which, they offer an array of drafts, a couple ciders and even a non-alcoholic beer called Kaliber, Guiness' best effort at including everyone. When I asked for a tonic and lime, my glass was never empty again and they honored the designated driver tradition of gratis beverages. The food we had was hit and miss. No matter how you cute it up, non-Irish fare is non-Irish fare. I understand people eat things like nachos, wings and other American favorites, but in an authentic Irish pub, authentic Irish food should be served. Not Irish Nachos, which are...nachos. Not Irish Bruschetta, which is...bruschetta. You get the idea. Why not colcannon? Scotch egg? Irish cheese plate? My friend had fish & chips, which she said was pretty good. I went with Shepherd's Pie, which was a prepackaged beef in gravy with potatoes. Cheese, a traditional ingredient where I come from, was .50 extra. Both the pie and the nachos were ordered previously came out tepid at best despite the lack of a crowd. Oddest of all was when we tried to order a side of chips (or wedges, as they're called here). We were told the entire plate of fish & chips had to be ordered, since there was no item on the menu for only chips. Um, okay. So as much out of curiosity as anything else, we ordered another fish & chips, this one keeping the two items separated, as one of us doesn't eat seafood. Out came the wedges and, while they were crisp and tasty, I can't tell you why on earth they couldn't have come out of the kitchen on their own. It didn't stop us from being charged for the twice, once as part of a meal and once as a stand alone item. Our server was terrific and attentive during our stay and the staff is warm and friendly for the most part. Fiddler's Green is a nice place to hang out...it just doesn't fill that hole where a good Irish pub should be.

I found about this place from yelp and it did not disappoint! Great food and great prices! I had the Hen in a Pot. One word: delicious! It was warm and flaky and perfect. I had Jessica as a server and she was fantastic. Friendly and was more than happy to offer suggestions to my friend. Would recommend this place to everyone.

I really like the decor and and atmosphere. It had the feel of an authentic Irish Pub (not that I've ever been to one before..). I had the Shepherds Pie (~$12, a bit pricey?) based on my friend's recommendation. It was really good and rich too. I think its a good place to hang out and have a drink.

I took some friends that I had not seen for five years here last Sunday for lunch and it was a horrible experience. Probably the worst service I have experienced in a restaurant-period. The very young waitress had absolutely no experince waithing tables. Food was forgotten-even after two reminders. What did come to the table was dropped(causing contents to fall on the floor where it remained -no attempt to clean the mess was made)or misplaced. There was no manager to be found on site. The food itself was ok-not good but ok. I had the steak sandwich,my frinds ordered the fish and chips and the fish sandwich-all of these were brought without any sauce/dressing and it took forever for these to come to the table when requested.Food was edible but only just edible. Why are other yelpers who have had similiar experience giving this place 3 stars or better? You are doing a real disservice to your fellow Yelpers(such as myself-who chose this spot based on Yelp) by giving "sympathy"stars.

Fiddle Dee Dee Potatoes I am taken aback when I open the menu at an Irish pub and the first thing I see are nachos and salsa but toasted tortillas aside, all and all it's the Irishiest place around, pubwise. The beer flows like wine and they make a mean Black Velvet so those are two points on my scoreboard. I went with Miki, Lauren H. and Alicia P. We had the smoked fish dip, which wasn't smoky and the onion rings which were crispy and crunchy but were shoe-like, seasonwise. I have another issue...with the name. The redundancy causes me a slight pain in the brain. Calling something green and Irish is like calling it Wet Sea World... Shit, that was almost a limerick. wakawaka

After going to England/Ireland/Scotland early this year, I just can't stop going to pubs in Orlando! Fiddler's Green is a nice pub with live music and it's pretty authentic (after been in Ireland I think I'm Irish to make that statement REGARDLESS that I'm an ASIAN!) Anyway, I love going there getting Strongbow and play some darts =p, great place to hang out and chill, would recommend to anyone!!

I grew up in Boston, and I know great pubs. Fiddlers is one of the best pubs, not just in Orlando, but anywhere. Everyone is welcome here and you get exactly that, a mix of college kids, older people, working class, white collar, and they all blend together perfectly. Staff is awesome. Pints galore are pulled to perfection and the food...oh, the food is awesome. I think I've tried everything here and it was all out of this world. (well, maybe the wings could use some help) If you are going here for the first time, get the Ulster burger (with real Irish bacon) The chips (fries) are crunchy bits of heaven, especially when you add malt vinegar. Fiddlers is a place you can come with a group, on a date, or even by yourself and feel welcome and right at home.

Really one of the best Irish Pubs there is in the US (I ve only been to ones in NYC, Chicago and SF) It's not because of the authentic and amazing food (You have to try pretty much everything on the menu) or the Great Pints of Guiness or the reasonable prices. It is because everyone their has a good time and that is truly what going to a pub is about. Check out the Happy Hour, It's an incredible deal.

Tonight was my first time visit here and I did have a bit of trouble with the parking - if you're coming off on Fairbanks and you see the Pub, you need to make a quick right to get into the parking.. I didn't realize this and had to circle back before I figured it all out. The atmosphere was good, the server we had was very nice and kept the drinks coming quickly. I only had their mushroom soup (which was wonderful!) but my friends had the chicken tenders, the fish and chips and the wings - all of which had a good side portion to them. I don't drink a lot of beer but they offer for $5.25 for well sized shots of beer from their draft list. I enjoyed two of the four I got and was able to experiment in the flavors! Around 9:30/10pm the live band started and they sounded pretty good. All in all, a pretty good atmosphere.

I don't understand the big deal about this place. The food is gross and the atmosphere is really corny. I ordered a shepard's pie that was one of the worst things I've ever eaten. I don't think there was even any lamb in it. If you want to pretend to be Irish and pay too much for beer and bad food then I guess Fiddler's is a winner.

Their mashed potatoes are made from boxed flakes (staff confirmed this)... and mine weren't even cooked... food is terrible and I rarely say that about a restaurant, but seriously you are an Irish restaurant and mashed potatoes are one of the most Irish things to eat. Ridic After coming here several times since its the hang out spot of some new friends I've learned the fries are really good and the chocolate cake is really good. That's about it in regards to the food. But I it is a cool place to chill and drink. Trivia was very fun, but the the trivia guy left and I haven't gone back to see the new dude.

I love this place - awesome atmosphere and food. The eats can be a wee bit inconsistent, but nonetheless I've always enjoyed my brew and grub here immensely.

I went to Fiddler's Green in Winter Park for a fellow employee's birthday lunch. Nice looking place. There were about eight of us there, and everyone ordered something different. Then the waitress mentioned that the Fish and Chips were featured on the Food Network, and except for one holdout we all ordered the Fish and Chips. The holdout, not a fish eater, had corned beef and cabbage, which looked mighty good. The fish and chips were excellent, and the atmosphere was really fun. I must go here more often, as it's an easy drive from work.

Fiddler's is my go-to place to grab some food and a beer or go out for a low-key night. The burgers are some of my favorite in town and I love the potato and leek soup. Their beer list is solid and there are generally a few seasonal brews available. The staff is normally pretty attentive, unless it's packed. The management is also really good about accommodating large parties during prime weekend hours if you call a few days in advance for a reservation. It gets a little too loud when the bands start up, so try and get a table in one of the side rooms. Parking is easy; if you can't find a spot in the lot, there is ample parking on the side streets behind the bar. But, alas, Fiddler's has recently broken my heart. After many years, they have stopped serving Strongbow cider on draft and replaced it with the inferior Magners. Bummer.

(4)Marcus S.
If you are in the mood to grab a beer in a non-commercialized irish bar, this is the place. The "authentic" not cheesy irish bar. Grab a beer with a couple friends and enjoy the live music. I would avoid the food but a great beer grabbing place.
(4)Annette E.
Claddaugh's is my number one, and Fiddler's Green is definitely my number two go-to Irish pub because they serve liquor, have the best fish and chips (panko bread crumb crust...wow), and delish guiness wings! Oh yeah and they have trivia on Wednesdays and darts :)
(5)Erik F.
(5)Dirk F.

(3)Lola T.
(4)Tammy B.
(5)Paul M.

Stopped serving food after 10 p.m. LAME!!

(3)Lenny L.
Great bar, awesome atmosphere, live music, pretty women, and good prices. I dig this place!
(4)Ashley S.
This is my favorite Irish restaurant in the whole USA! I love the decor and the service was friendly! My favorite dish here was the blackened fish sandwich! I love this place and wish I could visit it every week. Too bad I live in California now :(
(5)kelley s.
Maybe it's the booze and the low lit areas, but everyone is super fun and cool. i think everyone's out to have a good time, and there are! so, yeah, go here, check it out...eat good, drink well and have a freaking good time
(4)Cherry J.
(5)Nathan R.
(4)Lauren C.
(3)Edith O.
Great place to hang out with friends while you enjoy whatever crazy band is playing that night, and some nice cold beers. I've never tried any of their food, but I know they have a full menu. It can get a little too packed, but otherwise it's a very chill vibe, and a nice change from the downtown Orlando scene.
(3)Bettina T.
(4)Nick H.
The traditional meals are good, however, they have the BEST burgers in town! So good.
(4)Joe M.
(5)Tommy J.
Awesome. Great late night place to crawl into, especially on those few chilly nights in WP. Sometimes have live music. But great for a corner booth, cold beer and relaxing. Rollins College kids roll in and make it fun to be around that atmosphere. Definite stop.
(5)K. J.
(3)Lori F.
My old college pub! Great atmosphere, good food and drinks. An authentic Irish pub with a great staff and awesome menu. It's a bit worn around the edges, but that's what makes it dear to me.
(5)Justin S.
i somehow always end up here when we are out in winter park. i think my friends like to pretend they are still in college i suppose. fiddlers isnt my first choice, staff is great, beer selection is great, service is great, .... just not my scene. to many plad collered shirts and worn baseball caps for my liking. if i were attending rollins though, this is would be my watering hole. this joint is another place i will still go, as a follower. p.s. if you like soccer, its always on the tv's. and ask for deacon, he is a cool dude behind the bar. tell him the cubs suck though :)
(3)adrian b.
The only positive thing one could say is that it looks like what I imagine an Irish pub would on the inside. Other than that, it's loud and overpriced. I'd rather be at one of the crowded bars downtown where drinks are cheaper.
(2)Christian R.

(4)Jon S.
Always a great time, live entertainment on the weekends. Tables up front by the stage go quick though, plenty of other places to relax and have a blast though!
(5)Sarah O.
Pro's: service, authenticity, atmosphere, great taste, good music (live band), large rooms, large bar! Con's: prices are a little high.
(4)Travis J.
(4)Meghan S.
(3)Lisa A.

(4)Hannah M.
I've had several of the menu items but the potato and leek soup is probably my favorite. It's a great spot to hang out with friends to catch up, watch a game, or sing along with the Irish band. Glad we can say this is in our town!
(4)Louis S.
Attentive.
(2)Kara S.
(4)Shirley S.
I live really close to Fiddler's Green and have been several times with my family. Usually we are pretty boring and order the fish and chips. They are so delicious! We actually come here because we crave their fish and chips. The portions are generous and both my daughters love the food. I really like the pub atmosphere and the service has always been great.
(4)Shari P.
Lively and authentic Irish Pub! Good food and entertainment, especially when the Windbreakers are performing.
(5)Lizmarie B.
With a hungry Brit as a husband, it can difficult to satisfy his lunch cravings. With a traditional interior vibe and delicious food he was more than impressed. The bangers and mash were spot on and the curry wings are the best wings we have had in a long time!
(4)Alice M.
(5)Michael M.
(5)Kevin M.
Great ambience, terrible food. Come without an appetite. Also, don't expect your beer to be poured in the correct glass.
(3)David H.
(4)Anna C.
(3)Eileen H.
(3)Wendy S.
(2)Carlos V.
(4)Kate B.
Loved this place! We went right before St. Patty's day just to try it. Omg the lamb stew is to die for. And the inside is so homey and it makes me feel so welcome. Will be going back soon when we get the chance.
(5)Stephanie I.
(2)Heather H.
It was ok. My husband and I were in the area and love to find new places to eat in Winter Park so decided to try this place out. The service was pretty good and food was ok - decent but not something I would have again. Experiencing it once was good enough.
(3)Natalie D.
Always great service and the live music is fantastic. Makes for a great place to meet up with friends or come hear a great band with a good selection of drinks.
(4)Christine B.
(3)Mary A.
This bar is always consistent. Great food, great bands..dark..not too expensive (just dont order a car bomb) smells like a bar in here though.. gotta get over that. Great Winter Park location.. Irish bar to a t. :)
(4)Kathy G.
This use to be a favorite of the entire family. The last trip here the food was terrible , greasy and tasteless and some could not be eaten. The service was fine and friendly. One out of 6 of the meals was taken off the bill, but that was not enough to make any of us want to return.
(1)Kevin S.
I'm a huge Fan of Fiddler's. My wife and I go every Sunday night for the live band! It's an awesome night out.
(5)Alissa H.
Had an Irish car bomb. Boyfriend loved it. I had the 32 burger. Beware the onion rings are 3 inches tall, too big for me to smash them on my burger. Also the rings were heavy and greasy. The waitress was great, friendly and fast service. Authentic Irish style food.
(3)Colin M.
The real deal people. Call the bartender a wee man and you'll get a shot of whiskey and a invitation to dance a jig on his kilt
(5)Cheryl W.
Authentic Irish pub. The fish and chips and bangers and mash were very good. I also got the curry sauce on the side for the chips. They have a good selection of beer and cider. All the staff were nice.
(4)William R.
(4)Daniel S.
(5)Kyle T.
(2)Alli S.
(3)Cheryl S.
(2)Judy D.
(3)Jennifer W.
(3)Lyle H.
This place was pretty good. Prices were good. Food was great. I was here on a week day. I could assume with this being near the college it would get busy on the weekend.
(3)Melissa H.
Amazing Irish pub! I've been on several occasions and always enjoyed it. The staff is attentive. Dark and loungy as any good Irish bar should be. Food is good - not amazing but good choice. The live entertainment is authentic and fun! They are soccer enthusiasts!
(5)Lily R.
(5)Kelly M.

(2)Stephanee M.

Great place, my gf and I just had drinks. Server was attentive and quick. This place reminded us so much of our recent trip to Ireland and England. We are going back soon to try the food.

On a recent trip to this location I had my credit card compromised. Either from a skimmer located there or someone stealing it. Not going back. Called and informed but no call backs

(5)Ryan B.
Very fun! A great authentic Irish pub with a decent Irish beer selection, good food, and a really fun atmosphere! Drinks are fairly expensive, and the Rollins College crowd overwhelms it on weekends, but still a fun place to go have a drink with some friends.
(4)Ted P.
Fish and chips is some of the best in Orlando. Huge portion with potato wedges. I've also had the potato pancakes with smoked salmon on top which was great and also a pretty big portion
(5)Steven F.

(4)BrentandMichelle W.
(2)Lloyd W.
(4)Andy S.
Best fish and chips in town, and I have tried quite a few. Best authentic feeling Irish eatery in town, great live folk music on weekends, and when they have woodchuck cider on tap I cant help myself. Yummy!
(5)Martin B.

(5)Mark H.

Shit, that was almost a limerick. wakawaka
(3)Melly M.

(5)Ian G.
(5)Patricia R.
(4)Kris E.
(2)Caroline N.
(4)Stephen D.
Bangers and mash awesome! Car Bombs awesome!! Atmosphere awesome!! Overall experience Awesome!!
(4)Amy E.
The "Christmas" beer they had on tap was amazing!!! I could drink that all year and will be so sad until next December!
(4)Dan M.
I love this place - awesome atmosphere and food. The eats can be a wee bit inconsistent, but nonetheless I've always enjoyed my brew and grub here immensely.
(5)Tom B.
(4)Lauren E.
Bummer.
